Crochet Green Onion Pattern

I found this Crochet Green Onion Pattern the other day and just had to give it a try. It’s one of those projects that’s so quick and simple, you can finish it in one sitting. You're basically just making two separate parts, the green leafy bit and the white bulb, using some pretty standard stitches.

For this, I used a 2.0 mm hook with some leftover sprout green and milky white yarn I had lying around. Honestly, it's a great little project if you're just starting out and want to practice. It probably takes about an hour if you're taking your time. I think I zoned out listening to a podcast and had it done in less than 30 minutes.

After I finished, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it, so I just stuck it on my keyring. It’s a bit random, but it looks cute. I suppose you could also make a few and give them to that one friend who's really into cooking or gardening. It's that kind of small, handmade thing that doesn't feel like a big deal but is still thoughtful.
