So, I've been messing around with this little crochet apple pattern. It's pretty chill, actually. You basically just whip up three separate bits: the apple body, a little stem, and a leaf.

It’s all basic stitches, so you won't be stuck watching video tutorials for hours, which is a plus.

The pattern shows two ways to do the main apple part. You can do a classic, plain red one, which is fine. But it also shows you how to make a plaid version. I'm personally a bigger fan of the plaid one – it just feels a little less generic.

When you have all your pieces, you just have to stick them together. The instructions mention sewing, but if you're lazy like me, a hot glue gun works just as well for sticking the stem and leaf on. Done. Now I have a small, yarn apple sitting on my bookshelf.
