Introduction
I’ve been working on this Crochet Mango Pattern for a bit, and I think I've finally got it right. It’s sitting on my desk right now and it’s just one of those small, silly things that makes me happy. It’s not perfectly symmetrical, which I kind of like – just like a real mango.
It’s made in three little pieces – the mango itself, a stem, and a tiny leaf. You just whip them up separately and then sew them together at the end. For mine, I grabbed a 2.0 mm hook, mostly because I can't stand when you can see the white stuffing peeking through the stitches. For yarn, I just used some cotton scraps: a super bright, almost-neon yellow, a bit of brown, and a leafy green.
It’s a pretty chill project. The shape is a little different from the lemon pattern I made last month, which is basically just a tapered sphere. This one has a bit more of a unique curve to it. Honestly, once you get the main body done, the rest is a breeze. That little leaf might actually be my favorite part.
