I've been making a bunch of these little guys from this pineapple crochet pattern. It's a quick project, and now I have a cute little charm that I’ve just clipped onto my everyday bag. I guess you could make it a keychain, too.

For the materials, I just used some 4-ply milk cotton yarn I had in my stash and a 2.0 mm hook. Nothing too fancy.

Honestly, the whole thing is made with basic stitches you probably already know. The only part that’s a bit different is the popcorn stitch, and that’s what gives it the right bumpy pineapple texture.

If you’re not sure about the popcorn stitch, just look it up on YouTube.

  • Round 3 Same as Round 2, find the middle of the leaf to insert the hook, and crochet 6 more sets. (This makes the leaf look more lush.)
  • Fasten off with a slip stitch and weave in the ends.

When you're crocheting this small pineapple charm, try not to make your stitches too tight; a looser tension will look better. Hope this pineapple crochet pattern is helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments!
